Gran Turismo 6 is coming. Hopefully inside your lifetime.

Speaking to IGN, Polyphony Integer CEO (and massive car geek) Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that the developer is working along Gran Turismo 6.

"Naturally we'atomic number 75 operative on GT6 already," Yamauchi said, in front explaining that the firm hopes to offer players the kinds of things that hardly aren't conceivable with simple downloadable content updates for Gran Turismo 5.

Grandmother Turismo fans testament recall that GT5 recently received a massive swath of downloadable content (dubbed Gran Turismo 5 Specification 2.0) including new tracks, cars and gameplay options. The sizing of the update, it's $0 Price tag and the fact that IT arrived almost a year after the game's launch was a electrical shock to many, merely seemingly serves every bit grounds that Polyphonic music Digital is affianced to giving its fans their money's worth, instead of churning out bran-new sequels simply to overstretch in a speedy sawbuck.

"Things that we sack ply through DLC we wish, so that's in truth the market difference," Yamauchi says.

Fans should also be pleased to hear that there is more DLC planned for Gran Turismo 5.

"It's been virtually a year since we've released the game and in the interim we've had about 15 updates that were performed on the bet on. These prepare up the basic platform for the system," Yamauchi says. "Now that we wealthy person that out of the right smart, we'Ra willing to release more expansions and content to bring to the bet on. I think that will let in cars and trucks that we'll be releasing maybe one time every two months aroun from here on out. What we do from here on is also truly conditional the reaction of the users to this first DLC that we just released because this is the eldest one. Now we have the feedback from our customers and we'll see how that will affect what we volition Doctor of Osteopathy from here."

Hopefully this upcoming stream of DLC will be enough to tide fans over until Gran Turismo 6 hits store shelves in, best imagine, 2024.
